Smallville - A Retrospective - 14.

Greetings Friends,

More Smallville.

Season 2 Episode 20: Witness (original air date 4-29-03).

Clark is helping Lana but he missed his deadline for a story for the Torch. Chloe is unhappy about it. Meanwhile at night, masked men have stopped a van to steal it's cargo. Clark tries to stop them but can't. Clark sees that one robber has a Smallville class ring and a plate in his head. The next day at school he notices (with x-ray vision) that the plate is in the head of the school baseball star, Eric Marsh. Is the jock taking hits off a Kryptonite inhaler? Lionel is back at the mansion to wish Lex well for his engagement. Did Lex have the contents of the van (from Luthor Corp.) stolen? At the Talon, Henry Small stops by to see Lana. Clark finds out through Torch investigating that the jock was a chemistry star. He was involved with an explosion at chemistry camp. Clark follows the ball player to a foundry where the contents of the van (pure Kryptonite) is being super heated into a gas for aerosol delivery. Clark (depowered because of all the Kryptonite around him) gets his ass kicked and is thrown in the furnace. Once the preps take off with the Kryptonite, Clark busts out of the furnace. Lana talks to Mrs. Small at the Talon who tells her that she is divorcing her husband. Someone has trashed the Torch. Clark tries to help with the clean up but Chloe doesn't want it. Because of Clark's tip Eric lands in jail. Lex bails him out for knowledge of what was stolen from Luthor Corp. Clark confronts Eric about the Torch. He gets thrown around and his parents are threatened. Clark has to race home to free his captive parents. Clark confronts Lex about helping Eric out of jail. But Lex did it for information. His dad maybe starting up the level three experiments again. Lex and Clark hatch a plan to catch the gang. Clark knocks out Lex. When the next shipment of meteor rocks is shipped, Clark gets onto that truck. At the foundry Clark uses his other powers to take down the gang. Clark and Pete bury the meteor rocks in the woods. Lex has his suspicions what happened to the rocks. Lana tells Mr. Small he needs to spend time with his wife. Lionel pays Chloe a visit at the Torch. He is going to help her rebuild and will get her a column at the Daily Planet. Because they are after the same thing: The Truth.

Season 2 Episode 21: Accelerate (original air date 5-6-03).

Lana is having a fright fest movie festival at the Talon. When she is cleaning up she sees a little girl. The next day she sees the same little girl in her room. She believes that the little girl was a former friend of hers (Emily) that died six years ago. Lana and Clark go to meet her friends dad. He still hasn't gotten over his daughter's death. At the mansion Lionel has given Lex his marriage gift: a trip for them to the caribbean. Mr. Dinsmore goes to his old house and sees his daughter there swinging. He asks her to come home. She doesn't want to go home or stop seeing Lana. So she tries to kill her dad. Clark and Pete go to search the cemetery. They find the girls grave. Clark sees that she is still in it. They also see Emily in the grave yard. She runs away. And Clark sees that she is moving very fast. Back at the Talon Emily surprises Lana. Lex sees Lionel at the hospital. He is visiting Emily's dad. Lex goes in to see the former Luthor Corp. employee and meets Emily in the room. Lana and Clark search Mr. Dinsmore's house and find a secret passage into the basement. There they find tubes for cloning people. They tip off the police but it's cleaned up before they get there. On his return trip to the basement, Clark runs into Lex. Lex tells Clark that when Mr. Dinsmore left Luthor Corp. he was working on cloning. At the hospital, Lex offers Mr. Dinsmore help. At the river where the original Emily died, Emily pushes Lana in. Clark saves her. Lex accuses Lionel of cloning. Lionel tells Lex he's now in charge of the caves. At the Luthor Corp., Lionel tells Mr. Dinsmore that he is off the project. Also Emily is Luthor Corp. property now.

Keep Watching.
