Ok, that's 211 comic books down in 4 weeks. That leaves me with 1800 left to read in 48 weeks. I (think) Can Do It! Keep Reading Comics!

2011 in 2011 The end of week 3!

Hello Chums,

As I mentioned last post, I've been sick. That sickness really cut into my reading. Was I able to bounce back on track? Check it out!

From the collected edition Promethea #3:

#123. Promethea #13.

#124. Promethea #14.

#125. Promethea #15.

#126. Promethea #16.

#127. Promethea #17.

#128. Promethea #18.

From the collected edition Promehea #4:

#129. Promethea #19.

#130. Promethea #20.

#131. Promethea #21.

#132. Promethea #22.

#133. Promethea #23.

#134. Promethea #24.

#135. Promethea #25.

From the collected edition Promethea #5:

#136. Promethea #26.

#137. Promethea #27.

#138. Promethea #28.

#139. Promethea #29.

#140. Promethea #30.

#141. Promethea #31.

#142. Promethea #32.

Promethea was not your average comic book. Alan Moore's super hero/mystical/religious/magical writing, along with J. H. Williams III's many amazing art styles and page layouts made this quite a reading experience.

From the collected edition Strange Tales:

#143. Strange Tales #1.
#144. Strange Tales #2.

#145. Strange Tales #3.

#146. Startling Stories The Megalomaniacal Spider-man.

#147. All-Select Comics 70th Anniversary Special.

#148. The Spirit #10.
#149. Superior #4.
#150. Scarlet #4.
#151. Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep - Dust to Dust #8.

#152. The Invincible Iron Man Annual #1. (2010)
That's not bad for three weeks time. I think I need to bring my weekly number up a little bit. I'll see what I can do these coming weeks.

See you at the LCS.
Keep Reading Comics!

#122. Fables #93.

Whew! That's a lot of great reading. I haven't read The New Teen Titans since they were "new" in 1980! That reminds me of a story:

I think it was 1980 or '81, I was on a Junior High field trip to Washington D.C. We (Eighth graders) were on a bus (at night) bound for some monument or other. There was one light on about half way back in the bus. The whole bus was completely dark except for the one over seat light shining down on some jackass. Everyone on the bus was like: Hey turn off the light! I mean it turn it off! That Jackass didn't turn it off I was too busy reading The New Teen Titans! Yeah! Suck it! Losers!!!

Now that I have a pretty complete run, I thought I would re-read those issues plus all the issues I never owned. Wish me luck! I'm not turning off the light.

2011 (comic books to read) in 2011

Hello Chums,

I'm Back! After a year off, I'm back. But no reviews for now. I'm taking The Daily Oklahoman's Matt Price's challenge. The Challenge? Read 2011 comics in 2011. I think that I can do it.

Now to pull this off I need to average 6 books a day. No problem. I can do that. I will read a combination of single issues and collected editions (of single issues). Graphic novels won't count.

I've already started my quest for 2011.

Here's my first nine:

1. Uncanny X-Men #530.
2. Uncanny X-Men #531.
3. Will Eisner's The Spirit #9.
4. Conan The Cimmerian #25.
5. Nemesis #4.
6. Incognito # 2.
7. Hellboy The Sleeping and The Dead #1.
8. Marvel Shadows and Light.
9. Amazing Spider-Man #650.

I'm off to a good start.
